Wednesday Night Women’s Bible Study

Join us Sept 16 at 6 p.m. in the Dining Room as we begin The Way of Wisdom: A Study of Proverbs.

Explore practical wisdom for everyday life—including work, friendships, parenting, marriage, money, and more. New members are always welcome!

Wednesday Night Kickoff is August 12th at 6:15 p.m. in Hedrick Hall! All our Wednesday Night ministries will have tables and hand out info for the upcoming year. It will be a fun night of games, food, and fellowship! Bring a friend and help us kick off the new year!

Thank you, East Heights, for your incredible generosity! Because of your support, we collected $815 and 1,779 school supply items to help students at Jefferson Elementary begin the school year prepared for success.

This is the largest school supply donation our church has ever given! Your gifts of binders, pencils, markers, pens, and other essential supplies will make a real difference for students, teachers, and families in our community.

Your generosity is a wonderful expression of our mission to Love God, Love Neighbor, and Serve the World. Thank you for helping children start the school year with confidence and for showing the love of Christ in such a practical way.

We are excited to welcome Frankie Jones to the East Heights staff as our new Part-Time Administrative Assistant! Frankie will work alongside Taylor as she focuses on Office & Building Management. Please join us in giving Frankie a warm East Heights welcome when you see her!

Join Not too Old for Fun for lunch at Old Mill Tasty Shop 604 E Douglas and a tour of Gallery XII 412 E Douglas at 11:15 a.m. on Tuesday, August 18th. Martha Wherry, an East Heights member and on the board of directors for Gallery XII, will be our docent. Charles Gaynor, Featured Artist for August, will speak about his work “Imaginative Imagery”. We will meet in the south parking lot of East Heights at 10:50 a.m. and leave at 11:00 a.m. You may meet us at Old Mill Tasty Shop. If you have any questions, contact Judy Oliver.

East Heights UMC is partnering again with Jefferson Elementary to be sure their students have the supplies they need for a successful school year! The items needed include: 1.5 inch binders, dividers (preferably the ones with pockets), pencil pouches, pencils, highlighters, red pens, blue pens, black pens, and Expo Markers. You may drop these items off at the church during office hours on the round table outside of the Program Office!

The church is also collecting financial gifts for a “Jefferson Back to School” offering if you would prefer to make a financial gift (you may mail in or find this option on Vanco). Preferred deadline for financial gifts and school supplies is August 7th so the students can have their items by the first day of school. Thank you for your contribution!
