Thanks for all you sacrifice to keep us dancing. Thanks for spending hours at the studio listening to pounding music and learning a new language called “dance”. Thanks for all the rhinestones, all the mended tights, all the trips through a drive thru on the way to class, all the quickly washed lucky leotards, all the thousands of bobby pins and earrings you keep stocked. Thanks for carrying all our stuff and double checking we have everything we need. Thanks for wiping our tears when we fall. Thanks for being the loudest voice in the audience when we hit that triple. Thanks for being the one person we want to talk to after the performance for an honest instant replay. Thanks for believing in us and in our dreams. We might not realize it now, but YOU are the reason we dance.
