Buffalo Battalion JROTC

Wednesday, 5 March, was the cumulation of hundreds of hours of planning, preparing, and a lot of practice and finally the final ex*****on for the Southeast Battalion JROTC Program for Accreditation (JPA) Inspection. The Buffalo Battalion Staff started preparing since late September when we got notified that we were going to be evaluated. The staff met at least three days a week during lunch since November to go over their briefing and collecting data for their presentation. Everyone in the staff did an amazing job during the inspection getting 35/35 points for their Continuous Improvement Plan brief, one of the nine areas evaluated.

1SG Escude and MSG Borin, did a great job ensuring the cadets were prepared for the In-Ranks inspection, drill and color guard by practicing numerous hours despite drill and color guard members been in different classes.

There’s over 3500 JROTC programs nationwide and less than 10% receive the “Honor Unit with Distinction” designation, meaning only a small percentage of JROTC units earn this highest level of recognition and your Buffalo Battalion is once again among that small percentage.

A lot of work and most definitely a lot of stress was involved during this process but at the end it paid off. Please congratulate your son/daughter who was part of the JROTC inspection, they did an amazing job. Thank you for your continuous support.

Everyone played a vital part in this inspection, but I would like to make a special recognition to the Buffalo Battalion staff for all the hard work they put in to ensure we got a HUGE WIN for Southeast High School. Go Buffs…

This past Saturday the cadets marches in the Veterans Day parade in downtown Wichita. All the cadets did an outstanding and looked sharp!

The Raider team did an outstanding job on Saturday and took multiple first place trophies! We would also like to congratulate Alex Dawson for taking 1st place in the top warrior category! Congratulations to everyone that volunteered and participated!!!🥇🥇🥇🦬🦬🦬

Earlier today the Raider team practiced running the obstacle course and the rope bridge. All cadets did an outstanding job with encouragement and teamwork. The team will do wonderfully this Saturday!
