The river at canoe launch was a great place to spend the morning. I trotted behind Gabe while the girls zoomed up and down the trails. Once we got to the river they all went in, Angie fetching a big stick I threw a dozen times. Win the day!

Angie's got a new gig: PE!
Kids rotate through stations, one of them is dog safety. Lots of hugs and petting for Angie as I listen to their stories and teach some basics about being around dogs.

Another Dog Party at Stanley Ele! The kids have been working so hard for Angie, sounding out those 1st grade words or progressing through the story with fluency. Some of those kids Angie just has to get right close to, no matter the reading interruption!

Angie's sister Alice just got certified to help people, she's so proud! Alice told me that she wants to help those people who aren't going to get better, so I signed us up at Harry Hynes Hospice, which has both inpatient in and in-home care. Karen knows just how to put Alice to work once we get my training and Alice's kerchief in the mail. Grateful!

We got to listen to 5th graders read today at Irving summer session. We'll go in the afternoon for a week and a half until each kid in the program gets a chance to read with Angie. It felt great to be back in a school for both of us! She was so happy to see the kids.
