Wrapping up our celebration of our graduated is Hannah Kavanaugh! 🎓🌻 She graduated this spring with her M.M. in Instrumental Performance. This fall, they're returning to WSU for a graduate certificate in jazz saxophone. When asked what she enjoyed about WSU, Hannah said, "I'm incredibly appreciative to my professors for encouraging my exploration of jazz and woodwind doubling, and for their willingness to go the extra mile to help prepare me for my professional goals. I wouldn't feel so confident returning to study jazz saxophone if not for that support." Congratulations, Hannah! 🖤💛

Next up in our series of grad celebration posts is Molly Kay Wenzel! 🎓🥳 Molly graduated this spring with her B.M. in Composition and has plans to continue building her portfolio by working on student projects at Shocker Studios. She's already lined up for two animated short films and some game jams! 👾 She would also like to produce an instrumental album at some point in the next year and release it on streaming platforms. Congratulations, Molly Kay! 💛🖤

Continuing our celebration of our recently graduated ! 🎓✨ Next up is Teagan Horning, who graduated earlier this month with her B.M.E. in Special Music Education. This fall she will begin her first year teaching as an elementary music teacher in USD 259 while continuing to teach private flute lessons as well! 🪈 Teagan says, "I have loved the community in WSU's School of Music. I’ve made many lasting relationships with colleagues and professors that I cherish dearly. I am thankful for everyone in the school of music who has had an impact on my love for music and teaching." Congratulations, Teagan! 🖤💛

Celebrating our graduated ! 🎓✨ First up is Emma Snyder, who graduated in December with a B.M. in Music Education. Emma subbed for a while after graduating and is now moving to Indiana with her fiancé where she plans to sub some more before becoming a full-time music educator. Congratulations, Emma! 💛🖤

Congratulations to the WSU Symphony Orchestra for their performance on the annual oratorio concert last Sunday of the Rutter and Fauré Requiems! 🌾🪈 It was also Hannah Kavanaugh's last WSU orchestra concert. We're sad to see them go! 🖤💛🖤

Congratulations to the Symphonic Band for their fabulous concert a couple of weeks ago! ✨🌻 It was the last Symphonic Band concert of the semester, and the last WSU band concert for Molly Kay Wenzel! We'll miss you, Molly Kay! 💛🖤💛
