This week in Ladybug 2: Children had a blast engaged in water play, exploring nature items and enjoying some summer yummy foods!

This week in Dragonfly 2! This week we learned about natural disasters. We talked about earthquakes, floods, tornadoes and volcanoes. We talked about how we all need emergency kits just in case.

What a fun and busy week we’ve had! We learned all about the Earth, landforms, and different bodies of water, exploring rivers, lakes, and ponds through hands-on activities and discussions.

The children enjoyed creating beautiful watercolor paintings, making “raindrop names,” and expressing their creativity throughout the week.

We also had an exciting Water Day filled with sunshine, laughter, and splashing fun, followed by a cozy and fun-filled Pajama Party Friday to wrap up our week! 💙😊

🌦️ Week 1 Weather Fun! ☀️🌧️💨

What a wonderful first week of our Earth Science summer unit! Our Grasshoppers explored all kinds of weather while learning new classroom schedules, routines, and expectations.

This week, we created colorful windsocks and had fun observing how they move in the wind. The rainy weather kept us indoors for part of the week, but that didn't stop the fun! We enjoyed extra time in our indoor playspace where children practiced sharing, cooperation, and gross motor skills while staying active.

As we settle into our summer routine, our students are doing a fantastic job learning classroom procedures, making new friends, and building confidence each day. We are so proud of how quickly they are adapting and growing!

We can't wait to see what next week's Earth Science adventures bring! 🌎❤️

In ladybug 1, we continued learning about gardens and what we might find growing in a garden. We made carrots for our gardens and explored with sock worm puppets.
