Calling all Players: Join our Mah Jongg Mixer

Come out and play American Mah Jongg. This 10-week session is for players who have already learned the game. There will be very limited coaching or instruction. Every Monday evening, the tables and chairs will be set and ready for a game. Bring your own tiles, racks and mats. We will have both novice and advanced tables. You have already learned the game, so this is your chance to practice and improve. Limited to 25 participants. New to mahjong? More beginner classes will be offered this fall!

Deal Me In: An Intro to Bridge
Want to challenge your brain and meet new people at the same time? Come learn to play the exciting game of Duplicate Bridge! Using a curriculum developed by the American Contract Bridge League (ACBL), this comprehensive course will be offered in two series: one in the Fall of 2026 and another in Spring 2027. The course will begin with the basics of trick-taking and progress to more complex strategies.
Series 1 edition textbook provided!

Now introducing Lifelong Learning in Motion!

Stay active, improve flexibility, and build confidence in movement with our new exercise program focused on safe, accessible movement practices for adults of all ability levels. These 10-week classes are offered in-person from 9-10a at the Wichita State University Metropolitan Complex located at 5015 E. 29th St. North. Each class is also livestreamed, so you can participate from the comfort of your own home. No equipment or prior experience is required, and there are no mobility requirements. Participants are encouraged to modify movements to fit their individual comfort level and range of motion Join us and discover how small movements can make a big difference in your health and quality of life.

Tai Chi for Balance, Mobility + Calm

Wednesdays, September 9 - November 11 | 9-10 am
This 10-week class is designed especially for adults who want to move with more ease, confidence, and calm. This gentle, beginner-friendly class will introduce simple Tai Chi movements that support balance, coordination, posture, flexibility, and overall mobility. Tai Chi is often called “meditation in motion” because it combines slow, intentional movement with breath and focus. Participants will learn easy, flowing movements that are low-impact and accessible, with no prior experience needed. The class is performed standing, with shoes on, and movements can be modified to meet each person where they are. This class is a wonderful option for anyone looking to improve stability, reduce stiffness, support joint health, build body awareness, and enjoy a peaceful, welcoming movement practice. Whether you join us in-person or online, come ready to move gently, breathe deeply, and leave feeling more grounded.

This 10-week class blends seated and standing postures to build strength, mobility, balance, and coordination in a way that feels practical and approachable. Each class introduces simple breathwork and movement patterns that build on each other week to week, supporting stability, body awareness, and ease of movement. The focus is on helping you feel more steady, capable, and connected in your body. This class is adaptable and designed to meet you where you are, making it accessible for a wide range of abilities.

Due to unprecedented enrollment, we are moving our top three most popular classes to the Lowe Auditorium* to make space for more students!
History of American Serial Killers, Introduction to Russian History, and A Republic If You Can Keep It: Lessons from the American Revolution are now taking more in-person attendees.

We are currently reaching out to those who were placed on the waitlist to enroll them in the in-person class. Otherwise, call to add these in-person classes to your registration!
