Before we were reminding you to wear your IDs, we were just like you, counting down the days until graduation! 🎓

The hair might be different and the filters a bit dated, but the excitement is the same. The classes of ‘87, ‘94, ‘95, ‘02, and ‘06 want to give the MSHS graduating class of 2026 a giant MAVS UP!

Mavs, help us congratulate the 17 outstanding high school students who traveled to Nashville, Tennessee to compete at BPA Nationals! They competed against the best students in the country. For the Day of Giving on September 11th, Ms. Clevenger's students participated in a service project focused on supporting local veterans. Inspired to give back, her class partnered with Passaways, a Wichita-based nonprofit that helps veterans get back on their feet. Ms. Clevenger's FLEX class collaborated with the Bentley Bag Ladies to cut and design a handmade jean quilt for a veteran who recently entered the Passaways program. In addition, students worked to gather and provide essential items needed by veterans in the program.

This experience allowed students to demonstrate genuine compassion, gratitude, and unwavering support for our local heroes. Ms. Clevenger shared, “I could not be happier with how the blanket turned out. Our students played a meaningful role in helping someone find a renewed sense of purpose, and they demonstrated that there are still people who genuinely care and are willing to support our veterans.”

Further information regarding Passaways can be found here: https://passagewaysltd.org/.

Life Changes in an Instant. How do you find your way back?

Becca and Howie Corbett have everything a family could want, until a sudden, shattering accident turns their world upside down. Rabbit Hole is a deeply moving, surprisingly funny, and ultimately hopeful look at how we navigate the "new normal" after the unthinkable happens.

In this Pulitzer Prize-winning drama, our talented high school cast explores the messy, human side of grief—from the awkward kitchen conversations to the unexpected moments of laughter that keep us afloat. It’s a story about the strength it takes to hold on and the courage it takes to let go.

Mark your calendars for next week's show!

We are beyond fortunate to have these four amazing assistant principals at MSHS. Happy Assistant Principals Week to our Maverick Fab Four.
