This summer, we’re shining a spotlight on three MSU Texas students who gained hands-on experience through internships with the City of Wichita Falls!

From left to right, Chemistry majors Iryna Hotsuliak and Anaf Uddin, and Environmental Science major Colton Russell spent their summer learning alongside City staff at the Cypress Environmental Lab and Resource Recovery Lab.

Their experiences provided an inside look at the important work happening behind the scenes to serve our community.

The All-School Picnic and First-Year Walk for Fall 2026 was yesterday evening.

We celebrated our new freshman and they took their pictures touching the tail of the freshman horse, symbolizing the start of their journey here at MSU Texas.

The Robert L. Bolin Graduate School of Geology provides an opportunity for graduate studies in geosciences. We offer a traditional M.S. in geosciences through coursework and thesis. Master’s degree candidates may specialize in areas broadly within the geosciences.

MSU Texas Distinguished Alumnus, Hunter Adams, City of Wichita Falls Water Source and Purification Superintendent and Candice Fulton, MSU Chemistry, were invited to present “Promote Industry Careers Through Academia and Water Sector Collaborations” at the Biennial Conference on Chemical Education at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in July.

The presentation summarized the Journal of AWWA and Journal of Chemical Education articles discussing academic and industrial collaborations with co-authors from MSU, TSU, WIU, ISU, University of Ontario, UNC-Chapel Hill, Malardalen University, and the City of Wichita Falls.

After learning valuable lessons during its inaugural NASA SUITS competition experience in 2025, Midwestern State University's Team Selene returned in 2026 with greater confidence, stronger teamwork, and a second consecutive Pay It Forward Award.
