Raider Families,
We would love your help restocking the Raider Reward Store. This store functions through positive coupons awarded to students by school staff for being outstanding at school. Students turn in their coupons on Fridays at the store in exchange for an item from the Raider Reward Store. If you would like to drop off donations to Ms. Capps at the front desk please make sure they are store bought and individually packaged items.

Here’s our wishlist if this is an easier way to help out: https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/2CPJSY8KUWUNR?ref_=wl_share

Thanks for helping us celebrate the great things your children are doing at Rider!

🔑🖤💛 Congratulations to our October EMPOWERED Golden Key Winner, math teacher and coach Nikki Flores!

Whether in the classroom or on the court, Mrs. Flores puts students at the center of everything she does. She empowers them to believe in themselves, work through challenges, and recognize that they can accomplish their goals—even when the path is difficult!

This year, she has stepped into a new role as an athletic coach, embracing the added responsibilities while maintaining high expectations and the same EMPOWERED spirit.

A special thank-you to Samantha Bowen at Ember Realty for sponsoring this month’s $100 gift card prize! Your support helps us celebrate the staff who make a difference at Rider.

Help us congratulate Mrs. Flores in the comments! 🎉

Learning in motion at Rider Middle School!

Our 8th grade science students are exploring Newton’s laws of motion with a hands-on challenge: landing a tennis ball on a target! Using ramps, students test different release points to discover how starting position affects the distance the ball travels. Each attempt brings force and motion concepts to life through experimentation, problem-solving, and trial and error.

Thank you to Mrs. Mitchell and our science department for embracing labs and simulations that keep students actively learning. We love seeing learning in action! 🖤💛

🚒 Learning about fire safety with our community heroes!

Rider Middle School students got a firsthand look at fire safety this week when Mr. Vanarsdall arranged a visit from the Wichita West Volunteer Fire Department. Students explored the equipment and vehicles and met the people who help keep our community safe and respond when help is needed.

We’re proud to partner with our community to bring meaningful learning experiences to our Raiders. Thank you to Mr. Vanarsdall for organizing the visit and to the Wichita West Volunteer Fire Department for sharing your time, knowledge, and dedication! 🖤💛
