We are delighted to introduce our team for the upcoming ’26 - ’27 Drama Club Season! This year, we have the pleasure of welcoming Ms. Jamie Guthrie as our Assistant Director.

“Hey everyone! My name is Jamie Guthrie, and I’m thrilled to be joining the Drama Club as the Assistant Director. This will be my seventh year as a paraprofessional at Milam, and my son was a member of the club for the past three semesters. I’ve been involved as a parent, and I’m excited to transition to the other side this year. I can’t wait to work with these incredible students and make this season a success!”

We are so proud to be part of the academic growth in WFISD!

Milam grew 7 points and went from a C to a high B at 86!

This here proves we have the best staff in WFISD and our students are ready to rise to the next challenge! It’s always a great day to be a Bengal!

📈 Academic gains worth celebrating!

Since 2023, WFISD campuses have made remarkable academic progress across the district!

🔻 The number of D/F campuses has decreased from 12 to 4 — a 66% decrease.

🔺 The number of A/B campuses has doubled from 4 to 8 — a 100% increase.

🎓 And for the first time since Texas began using the A–F accountability rating system, every WFISD middle school and high school is rated C or better!

These gains represent much more than numbers. They reflect the dedication, determination, and hard work of our students, teachers, staff, families, and entire WFISD community.

We are proud of how far we've come — and we're not finished yet.

Let's keep working, keep growing, and make the 2026–27 school year even better!
