Also this week Ms. Crystal and Mrs. Joyce had their kids practiced their fine motor skills by creating their very own beaded necklaces! 📿💛

Threading the beads, picking their colors, and putting their necklaces together helped strengthen hand-eye coordination, concentration, all while having fun and letting their creativity shine! 🌈👐

We love turning everyday activities into opportunities to learn, create, and grow! 💕

I’ll let Emory introduce herself in her own words.

I am so excited and grateful to officially share that I have joined the Children’s Corner family as Assistant Director!❤️

I’ll be working alongside our amazing Director, Shyanne, and I’m truly thankful for the opportunity to be part of this team. I’m excited to learn, grow, and bring my experience and passion for early childhood education.

For those who may not know me, I have three years of experience owning and directing my own childcare center, which was such a huge part of my life and taught me so much about leadership, childcare, families, and the business side of early childhood education. I recently left my position with WFISD Early Head Start because I felt it was time for me to get back into what I feel most comfortable and passionate about — administration and leadership in early childhood.

I have a Bachelor’s degree and am currently working toward my Master’s degree in Education, because I truly believe there is always more to learn. I want to continue growing not only for myself, but also so I can better serve the children, families, and teachers I have the privilege of working with.

Outside of work, I’m a proud mom of four amazing children and a wife to my loving husband of 14 years. My family is my biggest motivation and the reason I continue pushing myself to learn more, grow more, and become better every day. ❤️

I also want to give a special thank you to Shameka for reaching out to me and offering me this opportunity. Sometimes the right opportunity comes at exactly the right time, and I’m so grateful that she thought of me and gave me the chance to be a part of the Children’s Corner family. ❤️ Your belief in me means more than you know!

I’m so thankful for this opportunity and excited for everything this new chapter has in store. I’m looking forward to getting to know all of our families and children and being a part of their journey! 🧸✨

🌟❤️ A Special Announcement & A New Chapter ❤️🌟

18 years ago, I took a leap of faith and started Children’s Corner Daycare. What began as a dream grew into something bigger and more meaningful than I could have ever imagined. ❤️

For the past 18 years, I have had the privilege of serving as Director, caring for so many children, meeting wonderful families, building relationships, and working alongside some amazing teachers. Children’s Corner has been such a huge part of my life, and I will forever be grateful for every family who trusted us with their babies and every employee who helped make this center what it is today. 🥰❤️

After much thought, I have decided that it is time for me to step down from my position as Director and begin a new chapter in my life. ✨

I am so excited to announce that Mrs. Shyanne will be stepping into my position as the new Director. 🎉👏 I have great confidence in her and know she will continue to lead our center with love, dedication, and a commitment to our children, families, and staff. ❤️

I am also excited to announce that Mrs. Emory will be stepping into the position of Assistant Director! 🎉💕 I am looking forward to seeing Mrs. Shyanne and Mrs. Emory has the experience and professionalism to work together as our new leadership team and continue moving forward.

Although I am stepping down as Director, I am NOT saying goodbye to Children’s Corner. ❤️ I will remain the owner and will continue to be involved and support our center, staff, children, and families.

For the past two years, I have also been pursuing another passion of mine—buying, renovating, and flipping homes. 🏡What started as another dream has grown into something I truly love, and I have decided that it is time to take another leap of faith.

I will now be focusing on real estate investing and flipping houses full time, as well as staging homes for sale. 🏡✨ I’m excited to take everything I have learned about building a business over the past 18 years and pour that same determination, hard work, and passion into this next journey.

This transition is definitely bittersweet. Children’s Corner will always be one of my greatest accomplishments and will always hold a very special place in my heart. ❤️

I am incredibly thankful for the last 18 years, but I’m also excited to see what God has in store for this next chapter of my life. 🙏🏽✨

🐻💙 Buddy Bear had another fun weekend adventure!

Forrest took Buddy Bear home for the weekend! On Friday they went home to eat snacks and relaxed after a long day. Later, we went to watch Forrest’s dad play softball. On Saturday Forrest woke feeling under the weather so Buddy Bear and Forrest spent the day cuddling. Sunday morning they went out for donuts. And they got a new marble race toy and showed Buddy Bear how to build it. And they got to go to the water park. They had a fun weekend.🥎🏎️
