I just have to give a huge shoutout to my incredible team! 🖤
Three of our Lead Teachers had the opportunity to attend the TRS Early Educators Conference—and what a gift that is.

Opportunities like this don’t come around often. When you spend your days pouring into little ones, it’s rare to get time to pour back into yourself.
Seeing the pictures they sent and feeling their excitement has filled my heart in the best way. This is what it’s all about.
Education comes from a place of passion… and early childhood education comes from a true calling.
My cup is over- flowing. 🖤

Our kiddos spent the morning singing and bringing joy to some amazing people! Thank you Royal Estates and Presbyterian Manor for being such gracious hosts!
When we pulled up to Royal Estates the students got so excited and said, “ I remember this place! Our friends live here!” My heart melted!
Building relationships and loving on our community makes the days worth it!🖤

We donated 40 pairs last year to a great organization—let’s top it!
Sometimes, peace and joy are as simple as warm jammies & fluffy socks! 🧦💙

If you don’t attend everyday and would like to donate, feel free to drop items off at the school during regular business hours!

I tell my team all the time… we are the thermostat in the room. We set the tone. I thought this touched that concept well.

Children learn to self-regulate by borrowing our calm — not by being sent away to manage emotions their brains aren’t built to hold, alone.

Their nervous system takes its cues from ours.

When we stay steady, their bodies learn safety.
When we breathe slowly, their breath follows.
When we offer presence instead of punishment, their overwhelm becomes something they can navigate rather than fear.

But the opposite is true too.
When we’re shaken, they feel it.
When we shut down, they lose their anchor.
When we send them away to “figure it out,” we’re asking them to build skills they’re meant to RECEIVE before they can ever create.

A child who is banished in their hardest moments doesn’t learn calm — they learn that big feelings make them unworthy of closeness.

So the work becomes tending to our own regulation, not for perfection, but for companionship. For connection. For the message it sends:

You don’t have to face your storm alone.
Stay close. We’ll steady ourselves together.

And then, slowly, what they borrow from us becomes something they can one day find within themselves. ❤️

Their environment is wiring their brains, shaping who they are and who they’ll become. Teach them well, nurture their wonder, and one day they’ll move mountains.

These pictures deserved a post all to themselves!

After receiving a bag full of treats from Workforce, I found myself praying and thanking the Lord for Kids Central — for our amazing team, and for all the families and students we have the privilege of serving.
As I prayed, I felt a gentle nudge in my spirit to show our students how simple and powerful it can be to give back, not just receive. After a few quick phone calls and a trip to the store for some flowers, Kids Central had the honor of hand-delivering smiles, laughter, flowers, and prayers to the sweet residents at Royal Estates.

Watching our students pour out love and value to each person they met was truly the highlight of my week. The Lord is so precious in the way He speaks to us and moves through us.

My prayer is that more than the candy they received, each student will remember the joy reflected in the beautiful faces of the residents — and the difference their presence made today. 💐❤️
We have a bigger responsibility to our students to teach more than just academics.
