Today was Sports Star Day, and our Warriors showed up in their best jerseys, team gear, and game-day spirit. From the field to the court to the hallway, CA was full of MVPs today!

This week was all about apples in 2nd grade!

On Tuesday, our 2nd grade students presented their annual Johnny Appleseed play, which retells the story of John "Johnny Appleseed" Chapman, who was known for both planting apple nurseries and having an eagerness to share the gospel.

Then, students were able to participate in apple-themed projects in the classroom alongside Mrs. Fitchie, Mrs. Hand, and some parent volunteers. They concluded their week with a trip to Market Street, where they got to tour the store and learn all about the production and selling of apples.

Read more about Apple Week and scroll through the rest of the gallery in our latest story! Link in bio under "News."

At Christ Academy, our desire is for our students to be rooted in the knowledge and application of Scripture. One of the ways we support this goal is through Chapel, which takes place every Wednesday.

This year, students from Early Education to Upper School are diving deep into the Beatitudes, learning what it means to Be Like Jesus. This month, students are focusing specifically on the topic of compassion as seen in Matthew 5:4.

In addition to a lesson, students get to praise our Creator through song. We even have some Junior High students who have been learning how to help lead worship through playing the drums, guitar, and more!

We love getting to worship Christ alongside our students!

Our kindergarteners spent the last two weeks learning all about apples, and on Friday they wrapped it up with Apple Day!

Throughout the morning, they built an apple volcano, planted seeds, tested whether apples sink or float, traced the apple life cycle, and even dissected one to see what's inside. Then they finished with apple pie in a cup.

Our kindergarten teachers are great at turning big questions into hands-on discovery, and our students' curiosity was on full display. Thank you, teachers, for giving them two weeks they'll remember!

Stay tuned for 2nd grade's Apple Week and the traditional Johnny Appleseed Play!

This quarter, students in our Sports Academies have been hard at work with our amazing coaches learning new skills and sharpening old ones in volleyball, baseball, and tennis!

Our Sports Academies give students an opportunity that is more personal than other team settings. Due to small group sizes, coaches are able to recognize the biggest strengths and weaknesses of each student, allowing them to develop practice plans that will assist them in growing as young athletes.

With Q1 already coming to a close, it’s almost time to start registering for Q2 Academies! Beginning October 7th, parents can register students to attend tennis, baseball, or basketball, so be on the lookout for more info soon.
