Region 9 Education Service Center Region 9 ESC supports educational communties and builds a foundation for student success.

Regional education service centers are intermediate educational units that provide training, technical assistance, administrative support, and an array of other services as determined by the legislature, the commissioner of education, and the needs of local school districts and charter schools.

Micki first joined Region 9 in 2010 and, throughout her time here, has served in a variety of roles, bringing strong leadership, dedication, and a deep commitment to the work of our organization. She has been a steadfast champion for the students, schools, and districts of Region 9, ensuring their needs and voices are represented both here at home and at the state level.

Micki's leadership and service have made a lasting impact on Region 9 and the communities we serve. We are grateful for the many ways she has supported, advocated for, and strengthened our organization and our schools over the years.

Casey was selected to represent Region 9 earlier this year, and now his leadership is being recognized among outstanding superintendents from across Texas. The state selection committee highlighted his student-centered leadership, willingness to step in wherever needed, and deep commitment to the Woodson ISD community.

📚Join Elizabeth Rojas-Nugent, Bilingual Field Consultant with Renaissance, August 26 for a practical session designed for administrators and educators who use Star Reading and Accelerated Reader. Participants will learn how to administer Star computer-adaptive assessments with fidelity, understand how Star scores connect to student learning progressions and standards, and navigate key reports. Attendees will also gain an understanding of the Accelerated Reader tool, which includes setting goals, conferencing with students about results, and effective practices for encouraging independent reading habits.
