Traveling abroad may have once been connected to having great wealth, but Larry Williams made it his mission to make Study Abroad at Midwestern State University something different. He wanted to provide unique study experiences to as many students as possible. Williams, who started the Study Abroad program for MSU Texas in 1986 and stayed involved for 30 years, passed away on Nov. 3 at the age of 77.

“The impact Dr. Williams had on countless students and faculty over the years is immeasurable,” said Michael Mills, Interim Associate Vice President for Enrollment Management and Director of Global Education.
