Congratulations to Whittier Unon's 2026 Classified Employee of the Year, Martha Delgadillo! As a Campus Security Associate at Pioneer High School, Martha was recognized during the May Board meeting for her outstanding dedication to students, staff, and the Titan community. Since joining Pioneer in 2003, Martha has been a trusted and caring presence on campus, helping create a safe and supportive environment where students feel seen, valued, and encouraged to succeed. Whitter Union Adult School (WUAS) will receive nearly $1 million of a Round 3 English Language Learner (ELL) Healthcare Pathways grant, which will go toward the continued expansion of WUAS healthcare pathways curriculum, reduced fees for bilingual students, automatic enrollment to Río Hondo College, and provide the opportunity for students to earn stackable credentials, which can lead to better pay! The grant will allow WUAS to continue offering its entry-level Medical Assistant and Phlebotomy classes for an additional three years, and add a new advanced online class in EKG Tech to its course catalog. On June 1, Whittier Union proudly celebrated 376 graduates from Frontier High School, Sierra Vista High School, and the Whittier Union Adult School as they marked this important milestone and opened the door to their next chapter.
