Congratulations to Whittier High School's Cardinal Brigade for wrapping up their performing season with a stellar final concert at the Spring Pops Concert! It's been an incredible year filled with amazing performances. Great work, Cardinals!

We are so grateful to everything that our Alumni Association does for our students.

2023 was an amazingly successful year for Whittier High School and the Whittier High School Alumni Association. Here are just a few of the highlights:
* The Alumni Association gave out $44,000 in scholarships to 22 deserving graduates
* The Whittier High School boy's tennis team won the 2023 CIF Southern Section championship
* Whittier High School students continued to see scores increase on state standardized tests.
* The Whittier High School Class of 2023 finished with a 96% graduation rate and a 60% A-G (college eligibility) rate
* Whittier High School offered twenty Advanced Placement classes that qualify for college credit, with the costs of taking the tests partially defrayed by an Alumni Association grant
* The Whittier High School Theatre Company mounted productions of Legally Blonde and The Miracle Worker, both financed in part by the Whittier High School Alumni Association
* WHS senior Destiny Thomas '24 received a QuestBridge full-ride to the Ivy League's University of Pennsylvania
* WHS junior Julia Rodriguez '25 published an original book of poetry, Dried Lavender and Sage
* The Alumni Association partnered with WHS faculty to open a new WHS authors exhibit in the lobby of the WHS William C. Gordon Library, with Julia joining a pantheon of more than a dozen fiction and nonfiction writers.
* The 2023 Hall of Fame ceremony honored Merton Wray '29, Judith (Hendrixson) Henderson '58, Michael McDonough '70, Robert 'Bo' Henke '70, Christina Marino '71 and Paul Pfanner '72.
*The ceremony also announced the 2024 inductees: Julia York Hockett '34, Ray Girvigian '44, John Saul '59 and faculty member Linda Winzenread
* The Alumni Association continues to sponsor events featuring the Vic Lopez Auditorium's Wurlitzer Organ installed through generous donations.
