Rio Hondo College is excited to host Hard Days Night, a Beatles tribute band, on April 16 in the Lower Quad!

Bring the whole family for a fun-filled evening featuring:

Self Help Graphics artist Martha Carrillo is coming to campus to install a public alter on campus to honor
those who have passed away in our community.
Students and the campus community are welcome to add their own tributes to the altar after installation is complete.
Altars and oferendas are the center piece of Día de los Mu***os. While most altars are typically built in private homes or in cemeteries, they have grown to become larger, public constructions that represent entire communities of people.

The artist of our beautiful mural, “River of Knowledge,” Ian Robertson-Salt posing with Ashley Santiago Hernandez and Nathan Reyes, the two student models whose likenesses are now a part of the artwork. We had a lovely dedication ceremony this afternoon and the completed work can now be seen on the first floor of the LRC. Stop by to check it out!

We are so excited to announce the completion of our beautiful new mural, “River of Knowledge,” by artist Ian Robertson-Salt! This mural was commissioned by Rio Hondo College and curated by our arts faculty. Join us for a ribbon cutting and artist talk on 9/11 at noon in the LRC to celebrate this vibrant work that honors our community’s journey through learning, culture, and creative expression.
