Bearing the Light - Denise Levertov
"Rain-diamonds, this winter morning,
embellish the tangle of unpruned pear-tree twigs;
each solitaire, placed, it appears, with considered judgement,
bears the light beneath the rifted clouds -
the indivisible shared out in endless abundance. "

"Fill my cup, Lord;
I lift it up, Lord;
Come and quench this thirsting of my soul.
Bread of Heaven, feed me till I want no more.
Fill my cup, fill it up and make me whole."

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear ArtForms family leader. Leeba gave incredible love, vision and direction to the ArtForms family and she will be missed so much. Below is a statement from the family.

Journal entry by Joy Astle — 35 minutes ago
It is with heavy and broken hearts we declare that our sister and Auntie Leeba has finished her race here on earth, passing from this life to the next at 9:35 pm Monday, January 25, surrounded by her siblings, nieces and nephews. It was our great honor to be present as she entered eternity with her Lord Jesus. Her battle with cancer was bitter and raw but through it all she remained resolute in her faith and trust in God’s sovereignty over her life and the timing of her death. The number of people who Leeba loved and whose lives she touched is enormous and immeasurable. If you know Leeba you know she would have loved to see or talk to each and every one of you. That is who she was. As our brother Andrew said, “Leeba was one of a kind – no one like her” In our grief we are unable to field calls or visits from all of you who are grieving and so we ask you for privacy during this time. We hope to be able to plan meaningful ways to remember Leeba in the future that are safe for everyone. Please no flowers or gifts are needed at this time but donations can be made on her behalf to Los Angeles Master Chorale, ArtForms Whittier or the City of Hope. Leeba wrote several things to her family and friends over this last year… some of which we share with you here to encourage your grieving hearts and to point you to The One who she believed in without wavering… choreographer of entrances and exits.
"What I know is that the Lord has already ordered my (and your) days. Nothing I can decide can change that. So I proceed humbly before Him. We will all discover together what His will is." Leeba
And here’s the thing - I can predict NOTHING. I am so thankful that my red blood counts have recovered and that I can walk without losing my breath in 50’ feet. Beyond grateful to God. But I also know it’s temporary and in some number of months my counts will likel

We have been so blessed this year with many amazing artists and students!! Today we feature one gifted artist who taught our first online class and sits on our Artists Advisory Board. Sergio Robleto has blessed ArtForms in many ways this year and the depth from which his work is created inspires us all. Thank you for blessing so many.
"Everlasting virtue is always at the heart of every creation. It’s one thing to satisfy the eyes with objects of beauty, but it’s another to satisfy the needs of the spirit. So if you ever look at my work, know the labor was to that end and you can dig from there."

Nativity Scene by Dali
(1959 Hallmark)
During this very unusual Christmas time, the surreal art of Salvador Dali seems to resonate more than ever. This image was created for Hallmark in 1959, and just like the year 2020, there are elements of beauty found in the obscure.
We pray that all of you would have a very blessed Christmas, as we celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ.
