Good Morning Classmates, Greattt news, The MVHS 9th Annual Memorial/Reunion is Saturday, June 25th and I'll be making our Event again this year, I along with a dozen or so of us from our Class of 71 did last year and we had a Blast!!! Come join us, greattt food and a Fabulous party and please don't miss out on the Memorial at La Mirada Creek Park, it's a very special tribute for all of our Classmates who are no longer with us... I would just like to triple/quadruple "ditto" what Laura Villa had to say to Patty Gray and Team for organizing our very successful gathering to honor All Mustangs past and present including teachers!!!!! I am so very proud to be a Mustang (our Mascot) from Monte Vista High School located in the wonderful community of Whittier, California, where most of us grew up in and some are still living there!!!
It was a Beautiful Memorial service that honored over 500 Heavenly Alumni at La Mirada Creek Park and meant so much to me/us, my fellow Classmates, as so many of us lost Brothers, Sisters, our loved ones, including my own, Cindy Lou Shapiro, as I call her...
Then our HUGE Celebration Lunch/Dinner/HAPPY, HAPPY, HAPPY HOUR at Big's Restaurant in Fullerton - We DO stand strong WHITTIER, MVHS FOREVER AND ALWAYS!!!
Our hearts were filled by the warmth of care and remembrance from all classmates, friends, and families who attended this year. Grads flew in from as far away as Alabama, Hawaii, Oregon, Missouri and Texas and those that traveled by vehicles to our event and I know that I can't wait until next year!!!!
