Mellon Mays is a great program for students interested in pursuing a Ph.D. It's dedicated to diversifying the faculty of higher ed. Five WC students are chosen every year to explore their interest in college teaching in disciplines of special interest to the Mellon Mays Foundation. Students will receive tuition assistance, summer research opportunities, and academic-year support through faculty mentors at Whittier. They'll also engage with peers at Mellon Mays-sponsored events.
