AMB is a non-profit shool of music founded by Director David Pinto whose vision to provide a comprehensive music education to musically talented blind children has set a world wide example of excellence in music education. AMB has been serving talented blind students for over 11 years and is the only year-round music school in America solely dedicated to educating the blind and visually impaired.

As we look back and reflect on 2024, we are grateful for the bridges we’ve built in the community and with other organizations that are of service to the blind. One of those amazing friendships we’ve developed is with . We appreciate their support and highlighting our experiences together and hope to build equally amazing bridges in 2025. Get to know AMB alumni, Dorothy Cho! Dorothy has been with the Academy of Music for the Blind since the age of 8. Her journey has gone full circle as she is now instructing our next generation of students while she attends classes at . We’re so proud of her path and inspiration on our younger students.

Our doors are open for blind youth who wish to develop their musical, creative, cognitive, physical and social skills through eduction in music and the performing arts. To learn more about online and in person classes, visit the link in our bio!

We have reached the penultimate day prior to ! We wanted to give you a first hand perspective on what it’s like to be blind. We had questions about obstacles our students face and what it’s like to be the only blind student in school settings.
