If these berries were any fresher they would still be on the vine! They will be going to the Jackson Co. FARMER'S Market today at the Bridge Park from 3:00 to 6:30. 15.00/gallon. Hope to see you there!

Strawberry time is getting close!! 🍓🍓🍓

It's a beautiful cold morning! Thankful to have row cover for the strawberries, and with a thick layer of ice on top of that, they should be just fine. 😎🍓🍓🍓

So far this strawberry crop is beautiful, and now comes a true test! With lows in the low 20's coming up this week, we've got to get these covered and have the overhead water ready to go. Hopefully the combination will be enough to save them!! Hoping for the best..🤞🤞🤞

This winter wheat cover crop is beautiful, and has done it's "job." Now it's time to turn it under!

So I'm down in the field, smelling all this Spring in the air and thinking.."how young I feel!" Then I realize that this is the 37th consecutive year that I have plowed this old piece of bottom land. I guess the old saying is true that "old farmers never die..they just 'go to seed.' 😉

It's a beautiful morning! Getting in a load of calcitic lime, with perfect weather to get it spread on the field. The overhead irrigation sprinklers, used for freeze protection, are still running down in the strawberry field. So far so good!! 🍓😎🙂
