Perfect attendance is not something easily achieved. Several students came close, but only one managed to power through the entire year without missing a day (aside from athletics or field trips). This means no illness, no signing out early, no medical appointments that kept them out of school. Congrats to Brady Donaghy on achieving perfect attendance for the 2025-26 school year.
Brady received a goodie basket, presented by Principal Matt Jakubik and School Board Trustee Kelli Vohwinkle.

We cannot wrap up the school year without acknowledging our amazing staff of teachers, parapros, kitchen, custodial, social workers, and office staff. At the start of May, we celebrated Staff Appreciation Week. In addition to thanking the staff with food, treats, and gifts, our staff also participated in "underground dress-up," where we knew the themes, but the students did not. 🧒
During staff appreciation week, we were able to honor our staff in the following ways:
πŸ”΄ Monday - Kicked off our week of Woot Woot Wagon fun! Each day of the week, the wagon went around and each staff member got to pick a snack and drink.
🧒 The dress-up theme for the staff was Crazy Socks With Sandals.

🟠 Tuesday - Annet from Annet's Body Care was booked to come in and give everyone chair massages. It was so relaxing. Cardinal Leadership also treated the staff to a Chipotle-style lunch.
🧒 The theme of the day was Anything But a Cup.

🟑 Wednesday - Roger's of Hale donated muffins and donuts.
🧒 This day's theme was Wiggin Out Wednesday.

🟒 Thursday - An extra sweet treat was provided in the form of a cake bar, in which staff could choose a flavor of cake and have it topped with various toppings.
🧒 Zoom Call was the theme of the day.

πŸ”΅ Friday - Mr. Jakubik and Mrs. Hostetler cooked up a delicious breakfast for the staff.
🧒 The theme of the day was Beach Day.
πŸ’― In addition to that, each staff member also won a random gift card/prize bag donated by local businesses. We could not do this without their contributions, and we thank each and every one of them. Businesses to thank:
Starbucks of Tawas
Dairy Queen of Tawas
Tawas Bay Pizza Company
G's of Tawas
Starbucks of West Branch
Dairy Queen of West Branch

Jersey Mike's in West Branch
Loggers Depot in West Branch
