While their Pioneer Day performance was rained out, the ACE German Folk Dance club has been busy not only learning new dances, but learning about German culture & holidays. 🇩🇪

The first day of class, each student was gifted a schültute, or school cone, to bring success and happiness to the new school year. 🎉

This week, students learned about Oktoberfest and made paper lebkuchenherz, or gingerbread hearts. The hearts have fun messages on them in the Bavarian dialect. 🩵

We also appreciate the high school volunteers from the WHS German Folk Dance team for helping our kiddos! We are already having a great year & look forward to more fun! 😊

For two years now Whitney ACE has taken teacher donations and delivered them to Ft Worth to the Welman Project. The Welman Project is a Fort Worth-based nonprofit organization that repurposes surplus business waste to provide free classroom supplies and creative materials to educators. Today these students as part in our endeavor to teach them community service loaded as much of the donations as could be loaded for a delivery Saturday.
