With a full week of school in the books, we're so proud of our youngest learners and the ways they've jumped right into hands-on, multisensory learning. They've explored numbers with tactile number bags, practiced pre-writing skills by creating with wood pieces, and strengthened fine-motor muscles with fall themed activities. We also spent plenty of time climbing, balancing, exploring, and building friendships on our preschool playground. So much learning happens when little hands are busy, bodies are moving, and curious minds are exploring!

What better way to kick off our first day of Outdoor Preschool than with a little rain! 💦 We were ready for it and it made our first day extra fun. Our exploration of the forest brought plenty of discoveries such as a bright green caterpillar that looked like a "tiny, skinny watermelon," a "super-jumpy" frog, and plenty of opportunities to wonder, investigate, and get muddy. We built boats and set them sailing through puddles. We cooked up creations in the mud kitchen, tested out the hammocks, explored our surroundings, and most importantly, began building our little outdoor preschool community. What a wonderful way to begin our year—ready to get wet, get muddy, get curious, and learn through play!
