Healthcare Heroes Camp 2026! 🩺

There was plenty of learning at Healthcare Heroes Camp 2026 last week! 🩺

Campers stepped into the world of healthcare by exploring careers, tackling hands-on challenges, meeting professionals, and discovering the many ways people make a difference in the health of their communities. From problem-solving activities to interactive experiences, every day brought something new to explore.

The best part? Watching students encourage one another, ask thoughtful questions, and realize that there isn't just one path into healthcare. Whether their future leads to patient care, emergency services, rehabilitation, medical technology, business ownership, healthcare law, or countless other careers, they left with a broader view of what's possible.

A huge thank you to our outstanding instructors, guest speakers, Team Leaders, and campus partners for sharing your time, knowledge, and enthusiasm. And to our campers - thank you for bringing your energy and willingness to try something new. You made this week unforgettable! 💜

2026 PreCollege Sleuths & Scholars Summer Academic Camp

It was an incredible week with UWW PreCollege Sleuths & Scholars! ⚖️🔎

From investigating mock crime scenes and exploring forensic science to learning about investigations, public safety, and careers in criminal justice, our campers spent the week asking great questions, building new skills, and discovering what it takes to help keep our communities safe.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who helped make this experience possible. We are especially grateful to UWW Chancellor King, UWW Associate Provost Plessel, the UWW Police Department, Dr. Killoran, the United States Secret Service, the Rock County Sheriff's Office, and each of our outstanding instructors who generously shared their knowledge, experiences, and passion with our campers. Your willingness to invest in the next generation made this week unforgettable.

Thank you to our campers for bringing your curiosity, enthusiasm, and willingness to learn each day. We enjoyed watching you explore new ideas and challenge yourselves throughout the week.

And to our families, thank you for trusting us to be part of your students' summer journey. We appreciate your support and the opportunity to learn, explore, and grow together.

Last week, our UWW PreCollege Leadership Academy campers arrived on campus with big ideas, open minds, and plenty of energy. Throughout the week, they challenged themselves, supported one another, and built a community where every voice was welcomed and every perspective added something new. We watched campers encourage teammates, share ideas, and grow more confident with each passing day.

The week wrapped up with a visit to the Wisconsin State Capitol, where students explored what public leadership looks like in action and reflected on the many ways they can make a difference in their own communities.

When we asked our Team Leaders what stood out most about this year's campers, one response said it all: "The whole class is involved and participating!"

By the end of the week, strangers had become teammates, teammates had become friends, and our campus was better for having them here. Thank you to every camper for making Leadership Academy such a fun, thoughtful, and memorable experience. We can't wait to see where your leadership journey takes you next!

Camp season is off to a great start! ☀️

Our Digital Discovery campers had an amazing time exploring the exciting world of technology. From robotics, networking, AI, cybersecurity, media arts, game development, and creative coding to hands-on problem-solving and teamwork, students dove into a wide range of STEM experiences while having fun and building new skills.
