CESA 2 is an educational service agency partnering with school districts in Wisconsin. Nineteen CESAs were formed in 1963 by the state legislature.

The Cooperative Educational Service Agency (CESA) 2 is one of twelve educational service agencies in the state of Wisconsin. In 1985, CESAs were reduced to twelve and the regions have continued to serve their local school districts since that time. CESA 2 serves 74 school districts in southern Wisconsin. The districts are very diverse as there are K-8, high school, and K-12 districts. District enrollments vary from 90 – 27,0000. Needs of districts vary greatly. Services offered by CESA 2 include literacy, numeracy, Title I, special education, systems coaching/planning, and instructional coaching. CESA 2 also offers programs that create efficiencies and savings for districts. Examples include driver’s education, cooperative purchasing, and a nutrition network. CESA 2 also operates the Rock County Birth-3 program, Vocational Opportunities Assistance for adults with disabilities, Jefferson County Head Start, and special education consortia in the Union Grove and Western Kenosha areas.

Each month, we accept nominations for CLASS candidates who balance their licensure program and teaching roles. Our CLASS's October Featured Teacher is Karyn Jutrzonka!

Karyn is a Special Education Teacher! Her favorite part of teaching is building relationships and getting to know her students. Her teaching philosophy is, "Meet every student where they are, build on their individual strengths, and provide support, encouragement and opportunities they need to grow and succeed."

It's time for September's CLASS Teacher Feature! Each month, we accept nominations for CLASS candidates who balance their licensure program and teaching roles. September's Featured Teacher is Sara Kries!

Miss Sara is a 4K Early Learning Teacher. Her favorite part of teaching is seeing the "spark" in a student's eyes when they get excited about learning. She says CLASS "has helped me grow as a teacher and gain an incredible mentor and friend."

We're celebrating Jamie Lutz, Family & Consumer Sciences and ProStart Educator at Badger High School, for being named to the Top 20 Women in Hospitality to WATCH list by the Wisconsin Restaurant Association! The WRA recognizes 20 women each year as trailblazers in Wisconsin's restaurant and hospitality industry and as an inspiration to all.

Jamie was chosen for her ability to inspire students as an educator while building one of Wisconsin's premier ProStart programs, a high school program focused on culinary arts and restaurant management. She has led her group to three consecutive Wisconsin ProStart State Championships and a Top 10 national finish.

Congratulations again to Jamie and Badger High School!
