An Update for you all.

Come to Hyland right now, Room 1307 and join our second meeting. Some of the topics we will be covering today are:

Sleep Deprivation the cause of Brain Damage? (Current Event)
According to CNN research has shown that long-term sleep loss can lead to brain damage.

Common fallacies made when one is arguing the opinion of another (Kowledge)
A fallacy is a flaw in reasoning.

Here a couple of fallacies:
Faulty Cause: Mistakes correlation or association for causation, by assuming that because one thing follows another it was caused by another.
Straw Man: bringing up something irrelevant to your oppenent's argument, blowing it out of proportion, then destroying it.

We will be covering more in the meeting. :)

If you can't make it this week it's alright. We will be meeting Wednesday April, 2. That is the Wednesday following spring break.

Hello fellow scholars!

Just a reminder of something that C&LD told us to inform our members about.

"The Student Involvement Office will be hosting the 3rd session of Quickchats this Tuesday, March 11th and Wednesday, March 12th at 6:15 pm in the Warhawk Connection Center. "

It only lasts 15 min, I strongly encourage anyone to attend especially since the topic is "Goal Setting for Fall". We will see you all there!
