Unfortunately, Regina McCollum passed away on December 28th, 2023

There will be a Celebration of Life for Regina aka Pamp this Saturday January an 13th at 3 pm at 2628 Lakeside Event Center, 2628 Chadbourn Hwy, Whiteville

Unfortunately, Wayne Lewis passed away this morning, Monday July 17th.
According to a FB post:

His family will be accepting family/friends at their home: 1960 Minos Meares Road Tabor City, NC 28463 and Arrangements will be announced later by Worthington Funeral Home in Chadbourn.

Let’s all lift Wayne’s family up in our prayers ❤️

The following is a message that was posted on the Columbus County Memories page regarding Wayne Lewis:

Hey Everyone: This is for WHS class of 88. On behalf of Wayne Lewis wife, Mrs. Robin, she states that anyone who would like to visit Wayne is more than welcome. He is currently at Lower Cape Fear Hospice House in Whiteville on Warrior Trail Road.
Thank you and please continue to remember us all in your prayers!!

Let's all continue to lift Wayne and his family in our prayers.

On another note, FB changed how these types of pages operate. It seems as though you can not post to the page. I am trying to resolve this. If you have any suggestions, please let me know. In the meantime, if there is anything you would like to share to WHS Class of '88, send me a message and I will be glad to post.

Hello! A message from Virgil:

Good evening class of 88’! I pray you are all well. I NEED YOU HELP!! I am hopeful that this gets to you all or as many as possible and that you all will repost or tell others.

As you know, I grew up in church in Whiteville at St Mark On Virgil St. I was very active in church and I am moved to help my home church in a difficult season of their existence. They are having their “Friends & Family” on April 16th and they are struggling this year to maintain themselves. I would be doubly blessed if we could all meet there on Sunday April 16th at 3p to support the pastor, Dr Mary Nixon and also help them meet whatever goal they have set with presence and financial support. Additionally, we can catch up and share some laughs and love.

Please let me know if this is something you all will help me with. We can catch up, eat and have a wonderful time in the Lord. We have cruised together- NOW LETS WORSHIP TOGETHER ❤️🙏🏽❤️

ATTENTION WHITEVILLE HIGH SCHOOL CLASS OF '88: Due to the weather aftermath, the lack of financial participation and the classmates' responses, please consider the 30th class reunion postponed. Let's all continue to pray and assist the Whiteville community as much as possible. For those few classmates that have paid the registration fee, the refund process will begin on Monday, September 24th. As for a new reunion date, that discussion will be left open for the group. Be safe and be well. ❤️
