📕WPS is honored to host Ashley Belote for our students on Friday, September 11th. Ashley Belote is the author/illustrator of WITCH & WOMBAT, SHEEPWRECKED, DON'T WASH WINSTON, LISTEN UP, LOUELLA, THE ME TREE, and A PARTRIDGE IN THE WE TREE. 🐾Daily Reminders for Wolfcubs:
Students should arrive by 8:00am. If Officer Morales has entered the morning car line and is in front of you, you will need to park and come in to sign your child in tardy.
In order to be counted present, your student must be in school for no less than three and a half hours. Therefore, if your child was on time to school, 11:30am is considered a half day. The latest a child can be checked out for the day is 2:15pm. However, your child will miss valuable instructional time and calling them from class, the cafeteria, the playground or encore is a disruption so please limit the early checkouts.
All transportation changes must be made by calling the front office NO LATER THAN 2:15pm. Please establish a consistent routine for your child to help minimize the opportunity for mistakes. Also, if you have to add bus transportation or change bus transportation, that must be done in person at the front office.
🎒Please be sure to pay your child’s beginning of the year fees. Fees at Whiteville Primary School are $10 for all students. Also, teachers sent home some forms (on colored paper) that need to be completed to update student information and those forms should be returned no later than Friday, September 11th. 🎒
🚘WPS Wolfcubs and Families, please be reminded that our traffic pattern for 2026-2027 has ALL car riders entering and exiting their vehicles in the car rider line. Adults should be sure students have their belongings and are ready to exit their vehicles. Be sure that you remain in line and do not pass on the left in the morning car line or afternoon car line unless directed to do so by a school adult. Safety will always be our first priority! Our car rider line is running smoothly and the grown-ups are doing an excellent job of remembering their car tags but the number of car riders has significantly increased from last year so your patience is absolutely appreciated!🚘
🏠All newly enrolled students have provided a current and valid proof of residency in order to be assigned to a class at Whiteville Primary. All former students of Whiteville Primary will need to provide an updated proof of residency on or before Wednesday, September 30th. Proof of Residency can be in the form of a light bill, water bill, notarized rental or lease agreement, mortgage documentation or property tax documentation. Please note that if you have a newly enrolled kindergartener and a first or second grader, please let your child’s teacher know as the information you provided for your kindergartener can be used for their siblings as well. 🏠

PTA is selling Wolfpack Spirit shirts. Youth sizes are $20. Forms will be sent home this week if you missed the wolfopportunity to purchase a shirt during Open House. The sale will end on Friday, September 11th.
PTA officers and anyone interested in being active in the PTA is invited to attend the meeting on September 15th at 4:15pm.

September 14th ~ Whiteville City Schools Board of Education Meeting at 5:30pm in the Civic Room at Central Office
September 17th ~ WPS PTA Candyman Fundraiser Begins
September 23rd ~ All Kindergarten health assessments and shot records are DUE! No child without their completed health assessment and shot record will be allowed to attend school until it is complete! Please take care of this sooner than later as we want all wolfcubs at school everyday!
September 30th ~ All students must have an up to date Student Alert Sheet Completed and a current proof of residence submitted. This does not include students that enrolled during the summer of 2026 as they were already required to submit one.
