Here is my flyer.
I offer online or in person piano lessons. I am a professional pianist having performed for various music venues. My lessons are designed for success. You could say I am more “traditional” in that I do assign finger exercises such as Czerny, Hanon, Schmitt, Burgmuller and scales, teach music theory, music analysis and teach repertoire from early elementary to advanced. My students are ready to perform on world stages. Although I keep the lessons light hearted, progress is expected. Accurate note reading and rhythm are expected by the 5th lesson. This method may be old fashioned but it spurred many, many great artists that left a mark in history.
I have also experienced that sometimes people register because they need something positive in their lives. Something to relax them, a goal to accomplish, a way to help them cope with something heavy. And they find playing the piano, focusing on something positive and seeing results improves their outlook of life and they feel good about themselves again. I love seeing the change, and it does make me feel good too. Making a difference is so important and it is something I aspire to do in each lesson.
People with disabilities are also welcome. Too often I find that classical music requirements do not invite many who will not meet the “standards” and cannot “wow” the audience. Their loss. I have been super wowed many times and, in their own way, have met the standards.
