If your child thrives in a smaller environment with hands on attention, we have a place waiting for him or her. Whitestone Academy was founded by Helena Ottaviano and Francis G. It is recognized by the New York State Education Department and the Board of Regents. Our class size and student population makes us unique in the New York City Area. We provide an education that is marked by individual attention, a close-knit, talented, and diverse community of students, parents and teachers, all collaborating in the education that provides each student with the opportunity to maximize his or her potential. Our goal is to foster a climate of growth and instill a lifelong appreciation of education. Our smaller class sizes – a maximum of ten students to one teacher, ensures your child’s unique voice will be heard. Should your child need additional assistance mastering a subject, our teachers are available both before and after regular classes to fit the child’s schedule. Since our founding in 1981, our commitment to serving and developing the individual has been unwavering. Our school’s student body consists of scholars and emerging scholars who have passion and interests in history, writing, science, and mathematics as well as the visual arts, and athletics. At the Whitestone Academy, we understand that each child needs to feel valued, understood, and challenged. With this understanding, our outstanding faculty helps students hone their skills, passions, and interests while encouraging them to learn new ones. Our school is a warm, vibrant, energetic, and welcoming community and we very much would like your family to join us. We welcome you to call our admissions office and schedule a tour of our campus and interview. Our admissions staff, faculty, Principal and the rest of our community would love to show off our wonderful school. We look forward to meeting you.
