Whitesburg Elementary School Whitesburg Elementary is a small rural school in the Carroll County School System. At WES, we are committed to ensuring the success of all students.

At Whitesburg Elementary, there is well-balanced curriculum that includes physical education, technology, and fine arts.The faculty, staff, parents, students, and community are proud of the warm, caring environment that our school provides. We are especially proud of our string and chorus programs, Junior Beta Club, Mighty Milers, and Academic Team. We believe that our school is a special place with dedicated faculty and staff, great students, involved parents, and a supportive community.

There’s something so special about the love between grandparents and grandchildren. Friday, we had the joy of celebrating that beautiful bond with ice cream and time together at our Book Fair!
Our students were so excited to share a little piece of their school world with the grandparents who cheer them on, encourage them, and love them so well. Watching them browse books together, enjoy an ice cream treat, and make memories reminded us just how meaningful these moments are.

💙💛 Another great week in 1st grade! 💛💙

It was a busy week full of learning and fun! Our first graders have been working hard in reading, writing, and math, and we are so proud of the progress they are making! 📚✏️

We also had lots of fun with College Game Day, Grandparents Day, the Book Fair, and our very first Bulldog Brigade meeting! 🐾🏈📚

We love watching our first graders learn, grow, and make memories together! 💙💛

What a fun and busy week in 5th grade! Our students worked hard, learned lots of new things, and made plenty of memories along the way. We’re so proud of the effort and enthusiasm they continue to bring to the classroom each day!

We also had a special treat this week! Students who reached their fundraising goal got to create their very own stuffed Reading Buddy. The Burg is definitely the place to be! 💛💙

This week in third grade, our students have been busy learning! In math, they explored number patterns, and in science, they learned about soils. In ELA, students worked on an exciting research project about ocean animals, and in social studies, they learned about Native Americans. It was another great week of learning in third grade!
