‼️With the exception of freshmen, all other students can come anytime during their class orientation to get schedules, lockers, and chromebooks. You do not need to be here during the entire orientation time period.

Students need to turn in their Chromebook and charger to their home school by the last day for students (May 25 for all schools, except ABES & LCC-May 26). If you finish early or have another device to finish your work on, you may turn it in prior to that date.

We are almost to the end of the year. Whooppee! Just a reminder that May 25 is the last day of school for the Virtual Academy. State testing begins on May 5 for everyone except LCC and ABE which begins on May 6. Remember to complete all your work by May 25. The Middle School Virtual Academy does have semester tests for all classes. My recommendation is to work a little ahead in a couple of classes so that you do not have to take 4 semester tests on the last day. Enjoy your beautiful weekend!

Spring break is April 7th and 8th, so there is no school. Enjoy your break!
The last day for the Virtual Academy this year is Wednesday, May 25. Make sure to have all your work completed by the end of the school day. Any unfinished assignments will be given a 0 which can lower your grade.

If you fail a quiz, please remember to rewatch the lesson and take notes before attempting the quiz again. You can take notes in Edgenuity by clicking the + sign or using paper and pencil.

Middle School Virtual Academy Students:
The 3rd 9 weeks will end on Friday, March 18. We will be running the 9 Weeks Grade Report on Friday, March 18 at 2:00 pm so that we can send grades to the guidance counselors at each school. Make sure to have all your assignments caught up by 2:00 pm. Check your pacing to see that you are up to date. Any assignment not finished will receive a 0. If you have any questions, please let us know.

Here are some helpful hints for grades:

Overall Grade: This shows your grade for the work you have completed.
Actual Grade: This shows your grade based on the pacing (what you should have completed) of your lesson.
Relative Grade: This shows your grade based on the entire content of the class.

Your Actual Grade will be what we send to the guidance counselors for your 9 weeks grade.

Virtual students who attend Whitesburg Middle School:

Mrs. Goins will be giving the Transcend Test on Tuesday, Feb. 15. You will need to report to school by 8:15. The test should last 2-3 hours. If you cannot attend that day, please call Mrs. Tiffany Goins to let her know so she can schedule you another day.
