🌿🐢 ADVENTURE AT SHELBY BOTTOMS! 🦋🌳

Our 2nd graders took their learning outdoors with a field trip to Shelby Bottoms Nature Center!

Students had the opportunity to explore nature, observe local wildlife, and experience firsthand the beauty of God’s creation. What better way to learn about the world around us than by stepping outside and discovering it for themselves? 🌱💚

We love seeing our students wonder, explore, and learn beyond the classroom!

🧪 CHEMISTRY IN ACTION! ⚗️

Our 9th grade students got hands-on in the lab as they investigated the difference between physical and chemical changes!

Through observation and experimentation, students learned to identify evidence of a chemical reaction and distinguish it from changes in physical properties. There’s nothing quite like seeing chemistry happen right before your eyes! 🔬💚

Learning science through hands-on discovery!

🎨 Grammar School Art at JECA! 💚

Our grammar school students have been exploring color, shape, and composition through these beautiful still-life paintings of glassware.

We love seeing the creativity and careful observation that goes into each piece. Every student brought their own unique style to the assignment, and the finished collection makes quite a beautiful display! 🖌️✨

What a wonderful reminder that truth, goodness, and beauty can be found in the classroom—even in a simple collection of cups and glasses. 💚

🐋 What better way to hear the story of Jonah and the Great Fish than in a tight, cramped place? 😂

Our students got the full experience as they listened to the story of Jonah in a space that felt just a little bit like being inside the great fish! 🐟

Sometimes the best learning happens when you can step into the story—quite literally! What a fun and memorable way to bring this biblical narrative to life. 💙📖

📜🎶 Monastery Day in 4th Grade! 🎶📜

Our 4th graders stepped back in time for Monastery Day and experienced a little taste of life during the medieval period!

Students learned about Gregorian chants and the development of music during the medieval era, including the monk who created and popularized solfege. They also tried their hand at writing with quill and ink and continued making progress on their beautiful illuminated manuscripts. ✒️📖

Their day also included time to read and contemplate God’s Word and even some hands-on work as they tended to the weeds in the flower beds. 🌿

We love seeing our students learn history through meaningful, hands-on experiences that connect faith, knowledge, and daily life! 💚

📚💚 We LOVE student tutors! 💚📚

Our 2nd graders are learning that sometimes one of the best ways to grow is by learning from one another!

We love seeing our students encourage their classmates, share what they know, and build confidence along the way. There’s something so special about watching students step into the role of teacher and cheer each other on! 👏✨

Way to go, 2nd grade! We’re proud of you, Archers! 💚📖
