It is with tremendous excitement and gratitude that we announce K**b Noster Public Schools has been awarded a grant from the Department of War Education Activity in the amount of $21 million to support our Timely Facility Investment 4 Total Force Integration (TFI 4 TFI) initiative.

This historic investment will provide critical federal support toward completion of specific academic and workforce-development components of our new K**b Noster High School Innovation Campus. In My Happy Place!

You can take the girl out of the classroom, but you can’t take the education out of the girl! ❤️

I had the BEST time welcoming our incoming 6th graders to middle school! Getting to paint handprints with them and create their very own Class of 2033 banner was exactly the kind of fun that fills my cup.

There’s just something about being around students, encouraging them, celebrating new beginnings, and watching their excitement for what’s ahead that will always have my heart.

And getting to hang out with Ms. Ewing and Ms. Brown was the icing on the cake! 🍰❤️

Yep… definitely in my happy place!

Welcome to middle school, Class of 2033! We’re so glad you’re here! 🎉📚

Sometimes, you get the opportunity to watch a military kid grow up—and then you get to watch them use everything they learned along the way.

This young man is my nephew, so yes… I’m probably a little biased. ❤️ But I also have the privilege of seeing what military-connected kids can become.

As the son of a dual-military family, he grew up traveling the world, moving, adapting, making new friends, starting over, and learning how to find his footing wherever life took his family. Those experiences build resilience, flexibility, perseverance, and the ability to keep moving forward when things don’t go as planned.

Now, as a college junior and member of his basketball team, he’s putting those qualities to work in a completely different way.

When the team lost thousands of dollars after a travel agency went bankrupt, he didn’t just accept that their opportunity was gone. He and his teammates rallied, fundraised, advocated for their team, and kept pushing forward.

Then something incredible happened.

Mark Cuban stepped in with a $30,000 donation. Local businesses, families, and community members followed—and together, they raised what was needed to give these young men the opportunity they had worked so hard for: traveling to London to compete. 🏀🇬🇧

Watching the CBS interview and hearing him talk about what happened made me incredibly proud.

Not just because he’s my nephew.

But because I can see the military kid in the young man he has become.

The resilience. The adaptability. The determination. The willingness to step up when things get hard.

Military kids may not always realize it while they’re growing up, but every move, every goodbye, every new school, every new community, and every time they had to adapt to something outside their control is helping prepare them for life.

And sometimes, you get to watch those lessons come full circle.

Proud aunt moment? Absolutely.
Proud military-kid moment? Even more. 🇺🇸❤️

Keep going, Gian Carlo. The world is lucky to have young adults like you in it.

WHAT A NIGHT, WHITEMAN!

A HUGE thank you to the Whiteman AFB families, local school districts, helping agencies, family resource organizations, and Whiteman STEM community partners who came together for Back to School Connections & Fun Night!✨

Our goal was simple: connect families with the people, programs, and resources they need to make the upcoming school year a successful one. We hope you had the opportunity to make new connections, ask questions, discover helpful resources, grab some school supplies, and find support for all of your PK–12 educational needs.

This night was about CONNECTION, COMMUNITY, AND SUPPORT. ❤️

⭐ A SPECIAL THANK YOU TO THE 509TH BASE COMMANDERS! ⭐

We are incredibly grateful to our 509th Base Commanders who came out to support our families and our community—and who didn’t just show up, but jumped right in to help pass out school supplies! 👏

Your presence and continued support are paramount to building meaningful connections with our military-connected families and the surrounding community. Having our leadership there, engaging with families and serving alongside our volunteers, is a powerful reflection of the kind of community we strive to build at Whiteman.

⭐ ANOTHER HUGE SHOUTOUT ⭐

To our incredible Planning Committee and all of our ALS and CES volunteers, Whiteman Spirit Alliance, & Youth Center—THANK YOU! From setup to cleanup, answering questions, supporting families, passing out supplies, and making sure the evening ran smoothly, you gave your time, energy, and heart to this event.

This night would not have happened without you! 💙

And to every school district, helping agency, family resource, organization, vendor, volunteer, and family who participated—thank you for showing up and making this event such an incredible part of the Whiteman AFB community.

This is what makes Whiteman special.

When our leadership, military families, schools, helping agencies, volunteers, and community partners come together with one common goal—supporting our kids and families—we create something bigger than an event. We create community.

Thank you for making Back to School Connections & Fun Night a night to remember! 🎉

Here’s to a fantastic school year, Whiteman!

We are stronger when we connect. We are better when we serve together. And our families are better because of YOU. 💙✈️📚
