Whiteman School Liaison Office The role of the Whiteman AFB School Liaison Program Manager is to provide local educational information, resources, and referrals to military families.

I’m honored to be named Civilian Category III Civilian of the Quarter at Whiteman AFB for the second year in a row! 💙

This recognition is a reminder of the importance of the work we do to support military-connected families. From strengthening school and community partnerships to creating STEM opportunities and helping families navigate educational challenges, our mission is to ensure every child and family feels supported and connected.

I’m grateful for the incredible educators, community partners, and leadership who help make this work possible. The greatest reward is seeing the impact we can make together. It’s a privilege to serve our military-connected families! ✈️

Military-Connected Families + Education = Stronger Together!

I had the opportunity to facilitate 7 professional development sessions for K–12 educators focused on the deployment cycle, and what an incredible experience it was!

As both a military spouse and a School Liaison Program Manager, I love bringing together my personal experiences and professional knowledge to help educators better understand what military-connected students and families experience before, during, and after a deployment.

💙 The photo I’m sharing is especially close to my heart. It captures my son’s reaction to seeing his dad again after an 8-month deployment. He had been so little that he didn’t even know who his dad was when he returned. 🥹

Thankfully, it only took a few days for them to warm up to each other and begin reconnecting.

This is just one example of the many emotions and transitions military children experience. Every family’s story is different, and our schools have such an important role in helping students navigate those changes.

I’m always grateful for opportunities to connect with educators, share real-life perspectives, and explore practical ways we can support our military-connected students and families through every stage of the deployment cycle.

Because behind every service member is a family, and behind every military-connected student is an opportunity for an educator to make a lasting difference! 🇺🇸💙

As we wrap up this week’s campaign, here’s everything you don’t want to miss at our Homeschool Meet & Greet:

✨ Your voice matters! The Youth Center Director and Youth Sports Director will be attending — ready to hear your ideas about PE opportunities, sports access, clubs, and programming you’d love to see offered for homeschool learners.

✨ STEM fun awaits! After the informational meeting, hang back and explore the STEM Mobile — a hands‑on science, technology, engineering, and mathematics experience parked right outside Whiteman Library. It’s the perfect way to spark curiosity and keep the learning going.

✨ Academic support is growing! Learn how to secure fully funded IXL seats, connect with other families, and discover new homeschool‑friendly resources from the Youth Center, Library, and local enrichment partners.

Grow Your Confidence in English!

A New FREE English Class Is Coming to Whiteman AFB!

State Fair Community College is launching a FREE English Language Learning (ELL/ESL) class this October for our international spouses and Airmen who want to build confidence and strengthen their English skills.

If you or someone you know would benefit from improving their English for daily life, work, or community connection, please scan the QR code on the flyer to sign up for more information.

We need at least 15 participants to keep this opportunity going — your support truly matters.

Did You Know? STEM Fun Awaits!

After our Homeschool Informational Meeting, you’re invited to hang back and explore the STEM Mobile — a hands‑on science, technology, engineering, and mathematics experience your learners will love.

The STEM Mobile will be parked right outside Whiteman Elementary, giving families the chance to dive into interactive activities, experiment stations, and real‑world STEM challenges. It’s the perfect way to spark curiosity and keep the learning going!
