👏 A big shout-out to our Dyslexia teacher, Mrs. Ybarra, for demonstrating strong Fundamental Five practices through Framing the Lesson and Power Zone!
Mrs. Ybarra provided clear, explicit modeling of sound patterns and mouth movements, helping students understand the skill and how to apply it. She kept students actively engaged while consistently checking for understanding throughout the lesson.
Her purposeful questioning encouraged students to explain their thinking as they identified open and closed syllables, explained their vowel choices, and applied syllable and accent rules to words. Great job, Mrs. Ybarra, on keeping students actively engaged in their learning! 👏
