We wore orange to show support for Every Child Matters. This Canadian observance is focused on raising education about, reconciliation with, and support for the effects of the Indigenous boarding school systems. It is a day to offer understanding and healing. Whether we know someone affected by the tragedies or not, we can all use a day to reflect that each child was, is, and will be precious and worth protecting.
