Trempealeau Valley Youth Apprenticeship

Yesterday, a group of Trempealeau Valley Youth Apprenticeship students traveled to the Wisconsin State Capitol to participate in YA Day at the Capitol. Students met with legislative offices to share their YA experiences and highlight the importance of work-based learning in our schools.

These students did an outstanding job representing their schools, their employers, our program, and Western Wisconsin. We’re proud of the way they advocated for Youth Apprenticeship and career-connected learning! 👏

Attending students from Blair-Taylor School District, Whitehall School District, and Independence Public School included
Ashton Hanson (Ashley Furniture Industries), Deacon Steig (Waumandee State Bank), Karter Kindschy (Ashley Furniture Industries), Taylor Sylla (Trempealeau County Health Care Center), and Chase Back (R.J. Jurowski Construction).

Blair-Taylor YA students Zach and Zak, were serving up serious skills at the Blair-Preston Fire Department's Rib Cook-Off this weekend! Looks like they have learned a thing or two from their YA experience at the Blair Meat Market! 👏🔥

Tonight, two of our own brought home some hardware from the Blair-Preston Fire Department Rib Cook Off! They won Best Appetizer, Judges Choice, and Reserve Grand Champion Overall.

These two are part of the Youth Apprenticeship Program through the school, and we couldn’t be happier to have them part of our team!

This week we hosted the first annual Trempealeau Valley Youth Apprenticeship Banquet to celebrate our students' achievements with their family members, employers, and school administrators. The evening was filled with a great dinner, door prizes, and a certificate presentation ceremony. Thank you to all who attended and helped make the event a success and congratulations to all students who are completing a youth apprenticeship program this year!

This group did an outstanding job representing our program and Western Wisconsin!
