Cheers to Edible Art Camp! Campers had a blast creating in the kitchen and putting together their beautifully illustrated recipe books! Ms Parker taught them all about kitchen techniques like chopping, measuring and mixing, and demonstrated way to clearly document their process using mixed media. Lucky parents and community members were the recipients of an abundance of healthy, delicious treats such as homemade cherry pop tarts, watermelon spritz, fruit leather, and strawberries & cream popsicles. The most common refrain we heard at the end of the week was, “Mom, can we make these at home?!” - enjoy those new skills, camp families!

This past week at Nature Illustration Camp, campers became nature illustrators by practicing one of the most important skills of all: observation.

Guided by Ms. Hillary Parker, they slowed down, focused on the smallest details, and discovered the beauty in flowers, insects, leaves, and the world all around them.

Using watercolor, colored pencils, and micron pens, campers explored a variety of artistic mediums while capturing the intricate details of nature. They also learned how to curate an art exhibit and proudly displayed their work for family and friends at the end of the week.

Thank you, Ms. Hillary Parker, for inspiring our young artists and helping them see the extraordinary in the everyday. 💚

Executive function shapes far more than academics.

It’s the ability to plan, adapt, solve problems, manage emotions, collaborate with others, and turn ideas into action. These skills influence how students learn, build relationships, and engage with the world around them.

Join us August 7–8 for a two-day learning experience exploring the through-line of executive function, oral language, math, writing, and social learning.

Learn from nationally recognized faculty:

• Sarah Ward, M.S., CCC-SLP
Executive function expert and co-developer of the 360 Thinking™ model.

• Karen Tzanetopoulos, M.S., CCC-SLP
Speech-language pathologist and nationally recognized expert in executive function, literacy, and language-based learning.

• Jess Curtin, M.Ed.
Educator, author, and instructional leader specializing in structured literacy, writing instruction, visual thinking, and executive function.

• Anna Vagin, Ph.D., CCC-SLP
Author and internationally recognized expert in social learning, executive function, and autism.

Once you see the through-line, you can’t unsee it.

You’ll begin to notice the connections everywhere.

In the conversations students have with one another. In the language behind a math problem. In a writing lesson. On the playground. During a walk outside. In the stories they tell and the questions they ask.

Executive function, oral language, schema, math, writing, and social learning were never meant to exist in separate boxes.

Join four nationally recognized experts as we explore the through-line that connects them all, then experience it firsthand through collaborative practice and an immersive outdoor learning session at The Skola.

You’ll leave with more than new strategies. You’ll leave with a new way of seeing learning.

August 7–8 • Whitefish, Montana or join virtually from anywhere.

Registration is open. Link in bio.
