The search for Dominican High School's next president is officially open!

As previously announced, President Leanne Giese will retire at the conclusion of the 2026-2027 academic year after 17 years of extraordinary leadership.

Under Leanne's stewardship, Dominican completed two capital campaigns where donors contributed more than $13 million, grew its endowment by nearly 400%, strengthened academics and faith formation, and positioned the school for continued success.

Building on this strong foundation, the Dominican Board of Directors and Presidential Search Committee are pleased to launch a national search for the school's next president.

Today, our Dominican community came together in gratitude and prayer for our first All-School Liturgy of the 2026–2027 school year! 🙏💚 Today's Mass gave us the joy of welcoming our new school chaplain, Fr. Charles Luke, to Dominican. A heartfelt thank you to our Campus Ministry Team, Veritas Preaching Team, Dominican Choir, and Veritas Reflection Speaker Aundrea-Claire ’28 for helping make our first school-year Mass so special! We are grateful for the opportunity to pause, pray, and come together through worship— may the spirit of faith and community guide our Knights throughout the year ahead.✨

Our Individual Class Reunions have been bringing Knights from across the years back together!🙌 Graduates from the 1960s and 1970s have reconnected throughout Milwaukee, with additional class reunions happening over the next few weeks. A special shout-out to the Class of 1964, who collectively celebrated their 80th birthdays!🎂 While it isn’t their official reunion year, they remind us that you don’t need a milestone reunion on the calendar to celebrate the lifelong friendships and connections made at Dominican. We’re so grateful for an alumni community that remains close-knit across generations and continues to celebrate what it means to be a Dominican Knight.💚🖤🤍

Today, we celebrate St. Rose of Lima, patron saint of gardeners, florists, embroiderers, and the Americas!🌎💚 Born in Peru in 1586, St. Rose devoted her life to prayer, service to the poor, and a deep love for Christ. At just 31 years old, she died after a life of extraordinary faith and devotion. In 1671, she became the first canonized saint of the New World, becoming a lasting example of holiness rooted in the Americas. May St. Rose remind us that lives of faith, compassion, and service can make a lasting impact on our communities and our world.🌹🙏 St. Rose of Lima, pray for us!

Today, our Knight Life Team welcomed our newest Knights to campus for Freshman Orientation!🤩 Our incoming freshmen spent the day getting to know one another through a variety of activities, learning Dominican’s dress code and expectations, and hearing directly from our Knight Life members about the culture, traditions, and community that make Dominican special. A special thank you to young alums Naod Fessahaye ’23 and Parris Saffold ’22 for returning to campus and sharing their personal insights and advice with our Class of 2030.
