The school year begins the Tuesday after Labord Day and ends in June. The program at Hinterland Preschool offers a balance between foundational academic skills and hands-on experiential learning focused on environmental sciences and agriculture. Hinterland is a readiness program for easy transition into the local and area public schools or any other educational facility. Students have access to a
newly renovated open-concept classroom as well as a natural playground and multiple walking trails. The staff at Hinterland value the young child’s curiosity and will help children foster a love of learning. By engaging students in the natural world, students will be invested in their learning and will become independent learners. Staff will help guide students by providing them with the foundational building blocks needed to make connections between science, mathematics, and literacy. Hinterland is a place where the success of the whole child is important. Not only will children discover the world around them and improve their academic skills, but students will also gain important social skills and will learn how to interact with their peers. Students will also learn about their emotions and how these emotions play a part in our daily lives.
