Leadership47 applications are still open! This program is a great opportunity to enhance your leadership skills while learning more about your community.

Meagher County MSU Extension is excited to open applications for the 2nd cohort for Leadership47. Leadership47 is a subset of Big Sky, Big Leadership which is a statewide community leadership initiative developed by MSU Extension and offered at the county level. It seeks to address the need for leaders in rural communities and help participants develop skills, increase understanding of local community dynamics, and improve community awareness of local issues. The cost of the program is $200.

The program will start in September then meet monthly on Mondays through April at various locations across the county. Each session will run approximately from 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM and includes leadership skill development and a community experience.

Meagher County 4-H had a great time at 4-H Camp last week. We had 5 counselors and 7 campers attend!

I am behind on social media posts, but this group deserves to be celebrated! These amazing men and women took a chance on me and a new program in Meagher County. I am forever grateful for them.

Over the past 7 months, this incredible group of emerging leaders embarked on a transformative journey—growing as individuals, building lifelong connections, and deepening their understanding of our community.

From immersive learning experiences to meaningful conversations and hands-on projects, they’ve gained the skills, knowledge, and vision to step into roles as engaged, empowered, and impactful citizens. 💪🌟

MSU Extension and Meagher County Library are hosting a Seed Savings Basic class on April 26th at 1PM at the Meagher County City Library. Abiya Saeed with MSU Extension will be here to teach the class. This class will be focused on understanding the biology and logistics for saving good quality seeds from home gardens, including the processes involved in harvesting and storing them.
