What a wonderful opportunity today for CTE Teachers and Leaders in Region 11 to meet with industry! Thank you to Wabtec Mining for hosting at your facilities. Your staff was amazing and the tour so interesting. Engaging with HR to know what our students can prepare for in advanced manufacturing was very beneficial!

Desiree Hurst and Garrett Smelker sharing the world of work in the Land Surveying field, demonstrating equipment, and answering questions was terrific!

All in all, this was a great day!!

Today was the final orientation for WSNCT Summer Teacher Externships. We are incredibly excited about all the teachers engaging their time this summer to learn from industry in the region and better connect classrooms to the world of work!
