We’re excited to welcome Brenna Brillhart from the Texas School for the Blind and Visually Impaired (TSBVI) to ESC Region 11!

Join us on September 17 from 8:30–11:30 a.m. for Evaluation Considerations for Students who are Deafblind, Visually Impaired or Blind, and Deaf or Hard of Hearing.

Brenna will help participants explore how sensory and communication differences can impact the validity of standard evaluation results—and how to select appropriate assessment tools and accommodations that better capture a student’s true skills and abilities.

💻 Can’t make it in person? A live virtual option may be available for participants experiencing scheduling conflicts or barriers due to distance. Contact [email protected] for more information.

This six-part virtual series is designed for newer diagnosticians while also providing practical refreshers for experienced professionals. Each session combines a TEA Desk Review focus with real-world evaluation topics and collaborative case analysis.

⚠️ Important update: The August 13 session is being postponed while we wait for legislative updates. Go ahead and register for 8/13 anyway! Registered participants will receive an email with the new date as soon as it is confirmed.

🍂 Fall registration is available now for 8/13, 9/29, and 11/4. Sessions are virtual from 8:30–11:00 a.m., and you must register for each session individually.
