World Class Academy is an accredited internationally traveling high school with sport-specific programs for kayakers, mountain bikers, climbers, kite boarders, and surfers WCA takes pride in being the first program to offer an exceptional education to student-athletes using whitewater kayaking as a vehicle to instill life lessons, build confidence, and hone skills.

2025/26 Student Introductions | Lyra Thevenin is a senior from Flagstaff, AZ and is the current student body Co-President.

is best known in the program for growing up in and around the Grand Canyon. She has an incredible sense of (raft guide) humor, heaps of river experience from guiding and has shown her comfortability with the river all year long, leading the charge in safety games, swimming rapids, etc.

If you have been down to Futaleufú you might have noticed that the motto here is “Un paisaje pintado por Dios” (a landscape painted by god), and while we are not quite sure who came up with it, we can all agree that whoever did it was onto something.
Week 3 in the whitewater paradise, the school has been doing endless laps in Puente a Puente, getting to check out all the cool spots in the valley and staying at . Futa is paradise!
