Culinary Arts is a technical program at HACTC (Hartford Area Career and Technology Center), located in Hartford, Vermont, and educating students from: Hanover, Hartford, Home Study, Lebanon, Mascoma, Thetford, Windsor, and Woodstock. The Culinary Arts program teaches a full academic curriculum while at the same time running the “Get-a-way” dining room, a small cafe style dining room open to the public for lunch. Culinary students not only learn fundamental kitchen skills, but in this hands-on lab, students learn the skills for meal prep, customer service, cash register, wait staff, storeroom management, and health and safety procedures. The Hartford Area Career and Technology Center is committed to maintaining a learning environment free from discrimination on the basis of race, color, ancestry, religion, gender, gender identity, age, marital/civil union status, national origin, sexual orientation, place of birth, military/uniformed service or veteran status, disability, genetic information, having a positive test result on an HIV related blood test or other legally-protected classification.

The HACTC Culinary Arts program is catering!!!

Help culinary students gain experience so they can pursue their dreams of becoming food service workers.

If you or a business is looking to have a catered lunch event, please inquire with Chef Patrick Gobeille by calling 802-359-4668 or emailing [email protected].

When: Openings will start in November 2022 and close in May 2023 Tuesdays through Thursdays from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm.

Where: At the Get-Away Restaurant.

We can accommodate 25 to 35 guests and menus are flexible to your needs.
