I have been working on a number of creative musical projects for the past 7 years with some friends, a musical called Raven's Stars: A New Musical, and an animated film series, The Flower Princess. We are introducing music from these projects, some songs for the first time, at 54 Below on 4/30 at 9:30pm. I have sung with cantata Singers over the years and it is very close to my heart. This year will be my mother’s final performance with Cantata Singers so I am singing with her in honor of our dear friend, Nick Borrelli, to whom this concert is dedicated. Mix wife, Kaye Newbury, a well-known local poet has written a stunning poem which our conductor, Will Wickham, has put to Music. The arrangement is absolutely stunning! If all of this wasn’t special enough, I even have a former vocal student singing with me this year - Cait Steed! Please donate if you can, this choir has been around for 60 years and has provided so much joy and culture for our community.

So, I am the worst at updating my page but if you haven’t already seen this video of my (former) student Elyse Bell going viral then I thought I would share it with you now! I am in awe of my girl!

She is an absolute marvel but just to be clear Elyse came to me at 11 years old with an amazingly beautiful and mature voice. Voice lessons can do a lot for you including teaching you proper techniques for all the different genres of music, but lessons cannot give you a beautiful voice. Lessons CAN teach you how to use what you’ve got to the best of your ability. 😃🎶
